Memorial bench
What can I say about this picture? I think it's the best image I've ever produced. It was planned about a week ago, taken yesterday afternoon, and the finished product is exactly what I had in mind apart from some minor improvements. Very little work done in Photoshop, this is pretty much what came out of the camera.

So glad you found the site. I didn’t post the picture until late on Tuesday night so I was going to call you on Wednesday to tell you, but obviously you had seen it by then.
Good to know that you like the bench picture. So far opinions have been mixed but mostly negative or just indifferent. But that confirms to me how much I like this picture. Often if other people don’t like one of my pictures then I go off it myself, but I still think this one is my best work to date.
Maybe see you and the dog out sometime next week as I’ve got another photo of the Stone planned. But next on the list is Barry’s new sculpture, heading over to see that tomorrow afternoon.

Thank you! I’ve been doing the blog for a couple of years (old stuff here) but it’s only in the last few months that I’ve been doing regular updates and posting more bloggy-type stuff rather than just pictures.
It’s a great time for photography blogs, with several that are genuinely interesting to photographers rather than just being adverts in disguise. (See the links at the top of the page for my own favourites.) Hopefully my own blog makes a positive contribution.
