But how do you do that when you shoot in ambient light ? The camera tends to refocus then. Awesome ;-)

The camera focuses *only* when you press it. The shutter then only does exposure. Very useful, e.g. for sportsshooting. You don't have to worry about the camera inadvertently focusing on something in the background when ripping off a burst of shots where you can't put the focus spot on the subject, then recompose for every shot.
